The W Seattle was one of the original W’s and has only had light cosmetic updates. It needs a major reno or should be deflagged. IHG has a better footprint in Seattle with Kimpton. I stayed at the Palladian last time and liked it. Would also consider the Thompson too. I’m a Marriott lifetime Platinum but have less and less desire to stay at Marriott properties. They are mediocre.
Marriott properties in the PNW suck period. Hyatt and Hilton are much better choices. Especially if you’re gonna dole out US$225+ a night.
I wasn’t feeling too inspired by Hilton’s recent breakfast changes to the US. Hyatt’s certainly going to be my focus the next few times I pop down.
