What time of year did you go/when is the low season in Dubai? I love nothing more than a near isolated stay away from other guests :p
I went in May, and the hotel was pretty quiet. Summer is definitely low season because of how hot it gets, and I think May is a good balance between fewer tourists and not being too hot yet!
