Do you plan to post written reviews?

      For sure.

This was a very enjoyable review of these three properties. Hyatt is a bit of a blind spot for me, given my loyalty to Starwood…eh…Marriott. I’ve stayed at the St. Regis a number of times on points — they are always very good about suite upgrades. You used to be able to use the suite night awards to get Madison and other suites, but now it is capped at the Astor (Junior) suite. I’ve also always found the breakfast benefit at the St. Regis to be excellent. I also enjoyed your review of the JW — I have always thought about staying there, but have a hard time choosing it over the St. Regis. And, if I were to stay at the JW, I think I would opt for a park view room, even if it was a lot smaller than the spacious suite you received. Say….which property from among the 3 was your favourite?

I noticed too that the Suite Night Awards options were more limited at the St. Regis than before. I also tried applying them at the JW Marriott Essex House but was declined – but lucked out into a better suite anyway.

Next time, I reckon I’d go for a park view room at the JW for those sweeping Central Park views – but my Manhattan Suite was fairly unique in that it was the only one with a patio (I believe, given the layout of the building).

My favourite? The Park Hyatt was extremely impressive as it felt like I had my very own luxury residence in Manhattan… but the St. Regis and their continued generosity with suite upgrades wins out for me.
