Great review! I stayed two nights at this hotel in early July 2022, the option to apply breakfast vouchers to a menu item of your choise is now a default option which is even listed at the bottom of the menu.
They have sadly since lowered the diamond breakfast value to $8.50 and raised prices of items like the classic to $17 from the 13 listed in the menu here
Aside from being a new hotel, the decor and amenities have me feeling completely whelmed. It’s like they aimed for the quirkiness of a Kimpton and ended up with a Four Points. At least the price was right.
Glad you embraced the Calgary way of taking a scooter everywhere! I was curious about this hotel when it opened so I appreciate the inside look.
Personally I’ve had good experiences at the Downtown Marriott (nice, big suite, pretty good executive lounge breakfast) and the Sheraton Suites Eau Claire (all-suites hotel, jet tub in corner suite, river view) but this looks like another decent option.
