When we lived in Saskatchewan we were 120 KM away and the Bessborough was our second home. This was back when this was a Delta Hotel and I was a Delta Plus member. I think we did two to three nights a month there. Great hotel with a nice location, beautiful rooms, culture and history. Boy I miss the good old Canadian Delta Hotels when it was a stand-alone Chain.
Nice review. Dated hotel? Definitely. But the Cat 3, Off-peak, PointSavers rate you got is pretty awesome. Next time you visit the city, try to time it with the annual Jazz festival. Artists like John Legend and Lauryn Hill have performed in previous years. Saskatoon is actually a beautiful city during the summer (and this is coming from someone who’s traveled to 40+ countries).
That’s what many others have told me too, and yes, a summer with the festivals going on sounds like the right time to come back for another visit.
