This is my go-to hotel in NYC for the exact same reason — you’re gonna be taking the subway to get around anyway, might as well stay somewhere (points) cheap! I remember back in 2019 when most of the hotels in FiDi were cat 4s and I would hotel hop around, but I’d choose the AC nonetheless. Fingers crossed they don’t raise the category next year. Thanks for the review!

Manhattan hotels with pools are very rare.
I can also recommend Gild Hall for Hyatt in this area. Excellent use of a category 4 award and very cool rustic Thompson Hotel branding
