Why does your story just accept WestJet’s triumphalist nonsense and fail to point out they have just dumped many, many passengers who have booked them to fly from Eastern Canada to GLA, EDI, DUB, CDG and BCN? This airline wants to become a small airline with one hub in YYC and compete with a serious airline with 3 hubs in YUL, YYZ and YVR. This may be great news if you live YYC but this airline is treating former Eastern customers like dirt. It’s not a serious airline with any commitment to customer service.
