    Hi Ricky,
This post is very timely for information as I plan next year around the Europe trip.
    Thanks, Ricky.
So if I only have 50K left in my MB account, and I need to book 3 nights at the W Istanbul ( a total of 75K) next July ( peak period?) which requires another 25K, and another 3 nights at Le Meridien Visconti Rome ( a total of 105K). How do I go about to book Points Advance? I just need to make a dummy booking at some hotel in any given time to drain off my 50K first. Then make the reservation at the W Istanbul and Visconti Rome on Points Advance?
Since I have never made any rez on Points Advance, I need some help to clarify here.
    Thanks again Ricky.

Since you don’t have enough for either reservation, you don’t even need to drain your account first. When you make the bookings, they’ll automatically become Points Advance bookings, and then you can deduct the points when you do eventually earn them (and if they’ve gone up to Peak rates, you can call in to get the old Standard rates honoured).
