Is JFK really more convenient than EWR?
A lot more international flights depart from JFK than EWR or LGA, so yeah.
Now bookable on the JetBlue app. Looks like first flight is June 9th, 2022.
Thanks for the story Josh. JetBlue is an airline I have become more aware of lately. While the focus of your story is correctly on the new YVR option, your readers may or may not be aware that JetBlue will start flying to LHR (from JFK and BOS) this August. Competition at YVR (and LHR) is always a good thing.
Barclay’s JetBlue cards sometimes have 100k SUBs, worthwhile, if you are eligible. As for redeeming AAdvantage miles with JetBlue, it was mentioned when the partnership was announced that it would be possible, but seems like there is a delay with this feature (similar to AS miles for QR awards).
Already booked a JetBlue flight from YVR to JFK Fridays early August. Then from JFK to London on British Airways 1st class. JetBlue is the ONLY airlines have a nonstop from Vancouver to JFK. Yes, Air Canada fly to EWR, but fun EWR to JFK will cost you more than $100 USD in taxi fare. Too bad all seats in JetBlue’s YVR to JFK are 3-3 configuration, no premium seats at all . I paid for the Blue package which includes seat selection, I also paid $15 extra for the “Even More Speed” option, this option supposedly will allow you to go through security in an Express lane. All in all, I paid $200 USD for this econ seat flight to JFK non stop. While Air Canada costs almost double that. Bring in more competition!!!
