Air Canada continuing to show that there are no bounds to becoming worse and worse year after year.
What a terrible airline
I have the TD Aeroplan Infinite Visa card. It comes with one free checked luggage…would that mean if I go on a flight to Japan, my first luggage is free/included and my second luggage would be free because the card would waive the $100 for the second luggage? Or is only for the first checked luggage even though it’s already free/included..? I’m confused.
You’ll just have one free checked bag in this case, as the checked baggage allowance doesn’t stack with allowance from credit cards.
So lame. Using Air Canada to go to Japan was always a last resort. Nice that ANA still allows two checked luggages. Hopefully they don’t change their policy now.
Mr. Dunn,
My Air Canada ticket allows 1 piece of free luggage. My Aeroplan 25K status: complimentary checked baggage allowance of 2 bags.
In total, can I have 2 free baggage or 3?
Thank-you!
You’ll enjoy two free checked bags, as per your status.
As you mentioned for international destination, the first check bag free. I have TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege, can I get the second check bag free as this credit card also allows one free checked bag?
Thanks!
Unfortunately, your second checked bag won’t be free in this situation.
Well I guess AC has to pay for “storage” of the luggage that they cannot get to the passengers. Having to rent additional floor space at the airports gets expensive. They have to put the lost, misplaced, failed to deliver, re-routed and usually damaged bags somewhere!!! Not to worry, AC will soon be charging for carry on bags as well.
This suxx. Way to go AC. They are charging for baggage they can’t seem to deliver? What’s joke. I guess this is to make up for the last 6 months of lost baggage. Does the new fee guarantee the luggage arrives when you do? Useless AC- so disappointed with this crappy airline! We Canadians deserve better. Heck we keep bailing you out. When’s the next bailout coming? Lol. I think you need to give yourself all a raise for a great job done!
