Personally I don’t expect Amex Canada to follow suit, because I highly doubt they have the expertise to modify their system so that the minimal spend period is automatically extended by 3 months.
I have the AMEX Business Platinum of which I applied and was approved back in January 29th and require a 3-month spend of $7k. I believe I activated some time in Feb 6th
My statements cycles are Jan 20 – Feb 19 (due Mar 13), Feb 20-Mar 19(due Apr 12),
a) How is the 3-month window calculated? Is that with the 3 statements? or from date of approval, or date of activation. Do I just have till April 19th to meet my minimum? or is it April 29th (From Application) or May 6th (From Activation)?
b) Should I contact them in regards to the above extension?a
Sure would like to see Canada follow the US lead here. It’s seems we’re always slow and behind? I did call AMEX Canada and they said the situation is fluid and they are working on it! But that was last week. Hopefully something soon!
Day after I posted that concern, 24/7 emailed customers to announce they’re moving again, every two weeks. Someone’s gonna cross, grab the mail, send it to us, then isolate. Over and over. They’re awesome
They’re a good’un! Hope they’re able to open their doors as soon as possible.
I’m afraid to apply for any US card cuz it’ll arrive at 24/7 and sit, eventually timing out. Right? Any known workarounds?
