Ricky, thanks to your post I registered for my status challenge from Westjet about 3-4 days before an already booked Air Canada flight and was able to complete my segments by end of December. Never would have known about it without your post!

Is there a Way to participate in either the WJ or AC status match challenge if I do not have any status. I am starting from scratch when it comes to status

How long does it take for the AQM and AQS to show up in your account? If I fly on Jan 14, will they be in my account on Jan 16?

Could have done the other milk run too.

Hi. Recently, I too did my first ever ‘segment run’ to achieve AC Altitude 25K through a status challenge from WJ Silver after reading Ricky’s post. One question: How long did it take to get notified of your new status? It’s been one month now for me with no notice and I was wondering if I should call in.

I am also curious about this as it has been 24 days for me since i completed my required AQS and have yet to see any status either.

Amazing story. I’ve occasionally considered doing a mileage run but I already don’t have enough yearly vacation to do all the regular trips I want (and I get five weeks). Quick question on the 15% Amex discount – is that part of the regular benefits or part of the off-and-on promotions that Amex offers?

    1. Andrew

It’s part of the (random) offers Amex sends out via email, although the Air Canada promo codes seem to come around fairly regularly.
