How to Plan a Family Trip to Tokyo DisneySea

I concur. Tokyo DisneySea is a cultural experience unto itself! As for hotels, the Sheraton is definitely family focused. We stayed there for two nights. The NICE thing about that hotel is that you actually have ROOM. Most of the marrriotts are tough to get more than 2 people in them… maybe three, so if you have a larger family, consider staying at the Sheraton for a night or two. We timed it so it was at the end of our time in Tokyo, so we could just jump on an airport bus from the hotel right to Haneda airport. Cheap and efficient.

The two times I’ve been to DisneySea we’ve had pretty low crowds… being able to go on a couple of rides like Journey and Tower (amazingly designed ride) twice.

When were there in Summer 2021 Soaring was the new ride with the line waits.

They’re also in the middle of a large expansion of DisneySea resort adding a new “port” called Fantasy Springs with Peter Pan (the pirate ship), Frozen, and Tangled.

I’d expect large lines when it opens for the new rides, but there will be more room as well. DisneySea is easily one of the best themed Disneys around and what makes it even better is that Japanese people usually really dress up for the occasion, which makes the experience even better… so don’t feel afraid to dress up adults, you will be joined by grandmas and kids alike… in fact if you don’t you might even feel like the odd one out.
