Hello Ricky,
Wrt Jessy’s return journey to Vancouver, you mention the following:
“Again, business class flights on this route are relatively difficult to come by, but luckily in this case, United dropped a lot of space on the Papeete–San Francisco route relatively last-minute.”
How does one determine when these flights drop space? Every time that I search for Business class seats (Vancouver-Papeete) through the Air Canada website, I have problems using my Aeroplan points to book anything other than Economy on the United Airlines leg.
Is it just the case that these seats are rarely available?
Must one search for these seats multiple times per day on the off chance of finding one of these seats?
(I am attempting to book one year in advance, with flexible flight dates)
Congratulations on your upcoming Summmer wedding> How great for you and Jessy that you can have apre-honeymoon trip.
I enjoy reading your newsletter and while I know you tarvel alot to tack up thise miles, I still often wondr how you have accummulated so many miles and points to pay for your trips! Definitely marvellous!
In this case, it was lots of Amex US Hilton welcome and refer-a-friend bonuses, lots of Paypower back in the day for the Bonvoy points, and lots of RBC credit cards (including product switching) for the AAdvantage miles.
