Beware if you want to cancel only one of the tickets in a booking. Aeroplan messed up and cancelled more than one ticket. The miles, which I need to rebook another one, were not refunded even though I got a cancellation confirmation email. Long story short… Fortunately, I finally was able to contact the call centre with only 2+ hours wait and the associate correctly rectified the situation within 30 minutes.
Hi ricky, you mentioned flights from europe with a USA Stop, may not board, but I do not think if they are coming from australia they have the issue, transiting via LAX, to YYC, am i correct ? Does not look like SIN or NRT a issue either ? Thanks
I would highly recommend contacting the local Canadian Consulate/Embassy as my first move if I was ever trapped within a country where I could not fly out from.
