Yeah, the new Istanbul airport is also hella far from the city. If you’ve never been to Istanbul and can get one of the city tours, then maybe it’s worth it, but otherwise I wouldn’t pay the visa fee unless I got to spend a good 15+ hours or so in town.
I was in Podgorica heading to Istanbul, and for some reason, I was under the impression that Canadians are eligible for Visas on Arrival. When the check in agent told me that isn’t the case, I started to panic, and I applied for the evisa right away, and it showed up in my inbox a few minutes later!
