Hi Ricky – do you know of any AMEX Canada Transfer Bonuses? These US ones seem to pop up each September, but I’m not sure if there is a consistent pattern for Canadian Amex MR transfer bonuses?

Thank for the heads up, just transferred points to Aeroplan at 15%, not great but better than 1:1. Our household just received very glossy packages from Amex Canada on how to use our CND MR. I thought, rather than spend all that money designing, printing, and mailing out those expensive packages, why not just offer bonuses on transferring points to partners like US Amex is doing if they want us to offload points from their balance sheets?
Avios at 25% and Aeroplan at 15% is disappointing

Rather than transferring to Aeroplan at 20%, can we not still do a global transfer to our canadian MR account at the current exchange rate and then transfer the points to aeroplan? Assuming the exchange rate is still favorable.

MR Transfers from the US to Canada now happen at a 1:1 ratio. Exchange rate arbitrage is dead. See latest comments here

How long does the transfer take?
Generally names must always match when transferring out of Amex US. However you can also transfer to accounts in the name of any supplementary cardholders.
Transfers to Aeroplan should be instant.
how available is the ANA first class tickets awards, for 2? Any route that’s better? and how early do you search?
Very few ANA First Class awards for 2. In my experience I’ve found ORD/IAD/LAX to be best for First Class space, with JFK being trickier.
LifeMiles currently has a promotion of 15% bonus on any incoming AMEX transfers and this is stackable and different from AMEX’s transfer bonus, resulting in an effective 32% bonus on AMEX transfers to LifeMiles. This makes this sweet option sweeter!
I think that was a temporary mistake on LifeMiles’s part, and it’s only supposed to be a single 15% bonus.
