Does anyone have an idea as to when the additional 35 e-upgrade credits will be posted to accounts folowing purchase of the buy-up (to 35K status)?
(For background: I decided to accept the offer on the deadline of 18th becuase I have a lattitude-class trip booked in 6 months from now, so I’m within the clearance window and could normally upgrade immediately. I have 78 credits right now, but according to the system, I can’t use them for a trip in 6 months because they expire on Jan 14, 2024. I hava a credit card that provides for roll-over credits which will be more than enough to cover the upgrade for the trip in 6 months… but those likely won’t post til Feb 1 and I’m concerned the upgrade spots won’t be available by that point. So I’m hoping the additional 35 credits from the buy-up post ASAP… hence my question… lol).
My guess is that your status will be updated for early 2024. You’ll get 20 eUpgrades as Core Benefits, and then you’ll have to select the other 15 as your Select Benefit.
I was offered 35k for $399.00 cad. I was only 2 SQS from 35k already, and have now reached 35k on my own. Unfortunately, I don’t see any mention of an offer to upgrade to 50k.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again until I’m blue in the face… Air Canada should really let you buy these things with Aeroplan points. $599 in Cash, or 59,900 points. So many people have Aeroplan points sitting around and these are all liabilities in ACs books that they could be vacating more easily.
The offer may differ, mine was $499 to qualify for 35k, not $599.
Same here. $499 for 35K status, along with Star Alliance Gold (instead of Silver).
I got offered to upgrade from 25K to 35K for 399$, but my husband who is 3K SQM short of reaching 25K has not been offered anything 🙁
Anyone know if the +1 status bump from the Chase AP card will stack with the buy-up offer?
Most likely not, the Original status needs to be earned organically, so the buy up offer most likely won’t work. Similar to getting the 25k from Chase aeroplan, that wouldn’t work either.
who can i contct at air canada to get this email ?
thanks
