Was the $300 Marriott room benefit set to expire, so that’s why you used it?

Quite the opposite, the $300 credit applies to your first $300 in Marriott purchases every membership year. Since another year’s credit had just rolled around, it just happened to be usable on this stay, but it could’ve also been used on future stays otherwise.

Highly recommend checking out the Four Seasons in CDMX, it is absolutely breathtaking and the service leaves little to be desired. If you’re going – book through Virtuoso for $100 property credit and free breakfast (which is phenomenal and unlimited a la carte).

We really spent 6 nights here on points and loved it. What date were you there?

This was November 13. Which suite did you get, and how was the breakfast?

      1. Sam

Ah we were there from Nov 16 – Nov 22. We also got the luxury suite, and they upgraded us a week before we arrived (I asked via email nicely). Usually properties don’t upgrade until you check-in on the mobile app.

Breakfast was absolutely incredible and very luxurious. Probably the second best we’ve had after St. Regis Maldives. They pretty much let you order as much as you wanted off the menu for no charge. Plus complimentary bread basket along with spicy mexican sauces everyday and the red/green chilaquilles were amazing.

Well there you go – thank you for chipping in on the breakfast section of the review!
