Hey Ricky
Have you been able to get confirmation that the switch antigen tests will be accepted as a reentry option starting Feb 28th?
It makes sense they would be if the LAMP tests were.
Was just trying to find confirmation and switch said they couldn’t comment.
I order a kit today on Switch health. They had a caution up, that it had to order by today (Dec 17), if you wish to get the kit by the end of the year. Orders tomorrow and later will be delivered in January.
Just to confirm, the 2 tests can be used on different people right?
Correct.
I have a return trip in January from Calgary to Mexico, but I will be in transit through the Denver airport each way with no stopover. I believe I will require the test each way, but could you confirm?
$16.99 antigen testing is available at Alberta Costco on Dec 4th. The article stating $40 being on par is a bit outdated.
This is pretty cool but it’s way too expensive for what it is. In Ontario at least, Costco, Walmart, and many other small pharmacies are offering antigen testing for $20 or less. If you have means to leave your home, is the convenience to get the kit mailed to you and do it at home worth an extra $59? Especially if you might have to do shopping in or around the area.
Thanks for this. Very helpful. I purchased these a couple of weeks ago when you recommended them. Great price. Will be using them Thursday. Is it ok to open and stick the bar code label on and write name on card, before phoning Switch Health? I some how thought this would have had to have been done online, with them observing you? Thanks for this helpful advice. Feel more confident using it now.
I purchased of these 2 kits for our return to the US in January and am looking forward to using them. We, too, paid $129 (They dropped their price from $157) per test in November.
I’m also doing a ME trip in late January and on my return, will be flying from IST to the US, so I’ve also purchased 2 x BinaxNow kits for my return to the US. Two tests were US$69.
Based on your screenshot, it seems both these kits are using the Abbott Labs’ Rapid Antigen tests.
I hope we continue to see a decrease in the price of the tests.
