Are there in past articles about winter travel across canada similar to these summer travel articles but just geared for winter?
Stay tuned for some content from the team coming this winter.
Hi Nitish, can anyone use the Hertz CPD 1757580? Or only if you have a specific credit card or belong to an association etc? Thank you
Amy would you know the answer to the question above? Thanks
Hey, there’s always the risk that they ask you for ID verification for any corporate codes used but oftentimes they don’t. For the car & driver code I’m not sure what verification would be required for a magazine subscription.
Do you get the President’s Circle status with Hertz with the Amex Plat Biz card?
The Amex platinum and plat biz will give you Hertz Gold Plus Rewards® Five Star status. President’s circle status can be obtained through status matching with other hotel and car rental programs if you have status with them.
Great article. I’d love to see more articles like this for other Canadian destinations (Just saw the BC one, going to read that next). As Canada comes out of the pandemic I’d like to keep my travel spending ‘in country’ to help with the recovery, and these sorts of articles are right up my alley!
Definitely agree, 1 night in Jasper is not sufficient. In Edmonton, there’s also the University of Alberta Botanical Gardens and the Jurassic Forest worth visiting. Can’t wait for part 2.
Welcome to my backyard! I’m so happy to see you post on our most valuable natural resource! I would add that Jasper and Kananaskis are where I would invest most time. Also consider our cowboy heritage and why not add an overnight trail ride on horseback in the mountains (you need a good few days to really experience it). We have many glamping experiences and most of these activities can be appreciated in Fall and Winter. I would recommend booking early as much is already booked up by us locals and to be honest Lake Louise and Banff get so busy in the summer most of the locals will skip the townsite and head to our hidden gem spots. There’s so much to explore and enjoy.
Sounds like a great itinerary. Excited to hear about part 2.
As for travelling this summer, is there talk of quarantining rules being lifted for inter-provincial travel?
Currently, Alberta does not require quarantine for travellers coming from other provinces. In regards to returning to your own province, you’ll have to find out what the rules are as some provinces like the East coast do have quarantine rules while others like Ontario do not (currently). Good to keep checking though as things are always changing.
perfect timing for this! I just booked my flights from YYZ-YYC for this July on AC J using points during the recent promotion, and am currently in the process of planning my itinerary 🙂
Amy – the Hertz CDP of 1757580 is for Car and Driver, not Avion Visa Infinite. Avion Visa Infinite is 451401.
I really enjoyed this Amy. Like many Canadians, I’m thinking of a trip to Alberta this Summer or Fall!
