I am planning to travel to Tofino in Oct, so I will be keeping an eye on your next post.

Looks like a great trip! We did a very similar thing this summer exploring from Calgary to Kelowna instead of our planned trip to Portugal. We live in a beautiful country.

I’m planning a getaway to BC for October. I’ll be sure to try some of those codes ! Looking forward to Part 2. One question – did you find including Tofino and Whistler in one week difficult? How much driving involved?

We had 8 nights which was just enough to see everything we wanted. We could have swapped the night in Whistler for an extra night in Tofino or Vancouver, but being only 1.5hrs from Vancouver, it’s not too bad. The drive to Tofino is a long one, however, the ferry ride breaks up the drive and the scenic drive after the ferry helps the remaining 3 hrs go by quickly. Tofino is truly worth a visit. If u r tight on time, I would suggest cutting out whistler.

Are there any COVID restrictions at Tofino?

Enjoyable read from your perspective. Indeed the QWO promo is invaluable right now for stays in North America, if you are eligible (recently extended until end of the year). Be interesting to run a poll one of these days, to see if the vast majority are still that reluctant to fly domestically.

Thanks for the very informative post. Appreciate all the little tips and tricks you were able to pass along as well It sounds like the Westin Bayshore is a great hotel for a Staycation for any Vancouverite who wishes to unwind a bit on a weekend etc

I aspire to travel like you. After reading the Disney posts, I forward it to my friend and tell them it is my 5 year plan. Couple take home points from this article: sit so there is a gap so people are not breathing on you from behind – genius! You also create your own luck for car seat, voucher use, suite upgrades, and saving on bike rental at Stanley park. I salute you!
